
Sarah Hadley is a director and cinematographer based in Sydney, working across film, television, and live performance.
Her work sits at the intersection of cinematic image-making and performance, exploring spectatorship, intimacy, and true/false space. Across theatre and screen, she has developed projects ranging from experimental moving image works and live video performance to television drama and commercial screen content.
Alongside her directing practice, Sarah has worked for over a decade in the camera department in the Australian film and television industry on productions for streaming platforms, broadcasters, and independent companies.
She has collaborated with mainstage and independent theatre companies as a director, assistant director, and video director, with work presented nationally and internationally. She also teaches and mentors emerging filmmakers and theatre-makers in directing, cinematography, and visual storytelling.
